A beef stir-fry is a lifesaver on busy evenings. Bursting with flavor and color, this dish brings the sizzle of a wok straight to your plate in under 30 minutes. It’s an excellent way to get your protein and vegetables in one go, and it’s endlessly customizable with whatever veggies you have on hand.

🧑‍🍳 Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 broccoli crown, cut into florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons water or beef broth

Instructions:

  1. Toss beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add beef, stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add remaining oil. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, and vegetables for 3–4 minutes.
  4. Return beef to the pan, add 2 tbsp water or broth, and stir-fry everything for another 2 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
