When time is short but flavor is a must, this garlic butter shrimp recipe comes to the rescue. It’s light, elegant, and done in just 20 minutes. The combination of garlic, lemon, and parsley enhances the natural sweetness of shrimp without overpowering it. Serve it over pasta, rice, or with a slice of toasted baguette for a coastal European feel.

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chili flakes for heat

  3. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.
  4. Squeeze in lemon juice, add zest, and stir in remaining butter and parsley.
  5. Serve immediately with your choice of sides (pasta, rice, or veggies).
